Looking for a quick bite before the show? Concessions services are placed throughout the property. Feast on the specialty items such as loaded mac and cheese, philly cheesesteak, or sharable options like the pretzel board. All offerings are restaurant caliber and made from locally sourced, sustainably farmed, and drought-friendly ingredients. Come hungry!
Mountain Winery Executive Chef Juan Madriz
Chef Juan Madriz, a San Francisco native, grew up in the vastly diverse San Francisco culinary scene watching many family members share their love of the industry. From the Mission District to the Embarcadero, he saw and tasted it all.
Juan began his cooking career in high school, working weekends at a local Italian restaurant. By the time he graduated, Juan had worked his way up to a lead cook and began catering events. He spent the next couple years working in restaurants across the Bay Area, and at age 24, earned the title of Chef de Cuisine at an award-winning restaurant in downtown San Francisco, where he served over 500 a la carte meals a night.
Chef Juan strives to provide his guests with a unique and memorable dining experience, and has prioritized working with only high-quality, seasonal, sustainably farmed and locally-produced ingredients whenever possible. After several years as Executive Sous Chef for Global Gourmet Catering, and working with many world class chefs, he has stepped into another new role as the Executive Chef of the Mountain Winery. Chef Juan is now proud to bring his experience, passion, and knowledge of world cuisine to the Mountain Winery in Saratoga.
